A weekly visit to the Alexandria site is required. Please note that the two sites are approximately one hour apart. Mileage is reimbursed (certain restrictions apply according to the company policy guide).

Bakery Lanthier, a subsidiary of the La Fournée Dorée group and producer of our famous brioche buns, is looking for a computer helpdesk technician to join our team at our Baie-D’Urfé and Alexandria plants. Job Description

The role of the Helpdesk Technician is to troubleshoot and maintain computer equipment, including hardware, software and networks. He/she configures workstations according to user needs and ensures that they are working properly.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles user requests via tickets or calls.
  • Identifies and diagnoses malfunctions, breakdowns and defects in materials and equipment.
  • Answers questions and implements any preventive solutions required.
  • Passes on incidents to the relevant department, escalating the incident if necessary.
  • Installs and maintains IT equipment in conjunction with the user.
  • Provides technical assistance and training where necessary.
  • Develops network architectures for the information system.
  • Installs and configures infrastructures (physical and virtual servers, networks, telephony, storage, messaging and security).
  • Supervises the operation of network equipment at all times, in real time.
  • Manages access rights to servers and applications according to user profiles and rights.
  • Monitor contracts with suppliers and service providers.
  • Plans and coordinates work and/or interventions (maintenance, servicing and/or installation of materials, tools, equipment, systems, etc.).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in computer science combined with a minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of computer networks and telecommunications.
  • Knowledge of operating systems.
  • Available to support the organization’s two sites.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Bilingualism (French and English).
  • Teamwork and respect for others.
