Job description
Lanthier Bakery, a subsidiary of the La Fournée Dorée group and producer of the famous brioche bread, is looking for a Logistics Technician to join its team at the Baie-D’Urfé plant. Job Description:
The Logistics Technician is responsible for scheduling, preparing, and shipping orders within the specified time frame while ensuring the full order is delivered and meets the client’s specifications. They must ensure up-to-date stock, arrange freight, allocate, and launch orders. They are also responsible for maintaining WMS software settings to optimize and ensure the efficiency of storage and loading priorities.
Operational Management:
· Ensures the creation and editing of transport documents in compliance with regulations.
· Inputs freight rates into the shipping documents.
· Allocates orders.
· Plans transport needs with the logistics coordinator.
· Manages stock shortages in relation to scheduling and the commercial service.
· Ensures the preparation of orders is executed with the Shipping Team Leader according to shipping priorities.
· Communicates the preparation specifications to the Shipping Team Leader and ensures they are followed.
· Ensures the accuracy of finished product stocks and system transaction accuracy.
· Monitors loading times with the Shipping Team Leader.
· Works with the quality service to manage Non-Conformities (ZNC).
· Communicates shipping information to the Shipping Team Leader and dock agents.
· Contributes to optimizing and organizing storage and order preparation space.
Quality and Safety:
· Adheres to internal regulations, charters, and current standards (quality, hygiene, safety, environment).
· Ensures the quality of packages, their quantities, and their arrangement on pallets, following the shipment identification code (SSCC).
· Ensures food safety protocols for finished products are applied (vehicle sealing, access control, etc.).
Communication:
· Informs the direct supervisor and the quality department in case of non-compliance.
Qualifications:
· Education in logistics, supply chain, or related field.
· Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar logistics or warehouse position.
· Proficiency in FIFO methods and WMS systems for stock management.
· Experience in order scheduling, preparation, and shipping, respecting client specifications.
· Skilled in managing transporters, allocating orders, and creating shipping documents.
· Knowledge of quality standards, food safety, and managing Non-Conformities (ZNC).
· Proficient in computer tools and stock management software.
· Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written.
