Job description
Boulangerie Lanthier, a subsidiary of the La Fournée Dorée group and producer of the famous brioche breads, is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to join its team at the Alexandria, Ontario plant. The incumbent contributes to the development, optimization, and deployment of HR strategies, programs, working methods, and innovative initiatives. They act as a resource person for employees concerning their professional lives and provide expertise in labor relations and training.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
- Support managers in aligning HR practices with business objectives and the company’s overall strategy.
- Assist with recruitment processes and strategies.
- Manage and maintain data in HR systems.
- In collaboration with the HR Director, provide support to managers on labor relations matters.
- Respond to employees’ questions, concerns, and feedback.
- Sit on the Health & Safety Committee / JHSC and follow up on objectives.
- Manage workplace injury and disability files.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting innovative ideas and helping implement selected initiatives.
- Ensure HR practices comply with labor laws and the company’s ethical standards.
- Provide support to the BDU HR team as needed (assistance, special projects, etc.).
- Support the payroll coordinator.
- Cover for other HR team members during absences (Payroll & HR Coordinator, BDU HR Advisor, and Talent Acquisition Advisor).
- Perform other related duties.
- Work with training coordinators and assist in addressing training gaps.
- Participate in quarterly meetings with Group collaborators to adjust work plans and harmonize the Canadian training model.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources
- Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar position
