Job description
Lanthier Bakery, a subsidiary of the La Fournée Dorée group and producer of the famous brioche breads, is looking for an (SST) Advisor to join its team at the Baie-d’Urfé, Quebec plant. In compliance with laws, policies, and internal regulations, the OHS Advisor advises, supports, and assists managers with all matters related to the monitoring and management of work-related and personal injuries, CNESST compensation claims, and insurance matters. They collaborate with other team members to ensure consistent and aligned activities. The OHS Advisor acts as a consultant and support for managers and participates in any project requiring their collaboration.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
- Ensure medical and administrative follow-up and establish optimal management strategies for claims filed with the mutual insurance association and CNESST.
- Receive and analyze accident and claim files submitted to CNESST and recommend appropriate actions.
- Recommend and assist in establishing temporary work assignments.
- Coordinate representation before the Administrative Labour Tribunal (TAT).
- Monitor charged costs and manage the employer’s financial file.
- Participate in the OHS Committee.
- Manage disability cases and assist employees with administrative processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing innovative ideas and assisting with the implementation of selected initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Certificate or microprogram in Disability Management or Strategic OHS Management (an asset).
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in managing work-related injury files.
- Proficiency in both French and English.
- Autonomy and organizational skills to effectively manage priorities.
Preferred Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources
- Microprogram in Disability or Strategic OHS Management is an asset
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (experience managing work injuries, CNESST files, etc.)
