Process Technician
Job description
La Boulangerie Lanthier, a subsidiary of the La Fournée Dorée group and producer of the famous brioche breads, is seeking a Process Technician to join its team at the Baie-d’Urfé plant.

Operational and Administrative Management
Review and analyze various work documents and communication supports (production schedules, activity reports, non-conformity status, customer and consumer complaints, management instructions, contract reviews, etc.).
Perform machinability tests on packaging materials.
Conduct reception tests for new packaging and packaging lots.
Define and formalize setting parameters for packaging equipment.
Provide oversight and training to trainers and packaging team leads regarding setup parameters, operating procedures, and equipment maintenance as determined by the company.
Identify and investigate malfunctions, take corrective actions, and monitor their implementation.
Propose improvements for equipment, workstations, or line organization in terms of ergonomics, safety, productivity, and waste reduction.
Participate in the commissioning of new equipment and the development of written procedures.
Prepare reports related to controls and testing, and inform relevant departments.
Establish and update monitoring and information logs.
Perform sampling of films and specific packaging for the R&D lab.
Quality and Safety
Comply with and enforce applicable health and safety regulations.
Apply food safety management methods (HACCP).
Verify the reliability of CCP (Critical Control Points) and OP (Operational Prerequisite) control points (C-ray and flavor settings/controls, cooling times).
Communication
Inform relevant departments and stakeholders (team leads, maintenance technicians) of implemented processes and any adjustments made, either verbally or through written supports (CMMS/GMAO, email).
Attend various internal meetings (packaging and process).
Report any non-compliance or issues to management.
Qualifications
- Education: A degree or training in Mechanical Engineering is an asset.
- Experience: Significant experience in a similar position.
- Industry experience: Experience in the food processing industry is an asset.
- Languages: Proficiency in French; English is an asset.
