La Boulangerie Lanthier, a subsidiary of La Fournée Dorée Group and producer of the famous brioche breads, is currently looking for a Junior Robotician / Automation Technician to join its team at both the Baie-D’Urfé and Alexandria plants. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance routines specific to robotics.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Anticipate component obsolescence and propose retrofit plans.
- Adapt to various types of equipment and programming methods while adhering to food industry standards.
- Commission and ensure reliability of robotic installations.
- Participate in the development and integration of new robotic systems in collaboration with the capital projects team.
- Proactively use internal management and monitoring software (CMMS): handle work requests, follow schedules, enter intervention reports, manage parts inventory.
- Support the maintenance team with troubleshooting—either on-site or remotely—with clear communication.
- Create procedures, training modules, and plans tailored to the needs of maintenance technicians and machine operators in robotics; provide ongoing support and coaching.
- Train and mentor staff in relevant areas.
- Keep all robot-related documentation, hardware, and software up to date.
- Work with or supervise contractors and suppliers; liaise with them for advice or technical expertise.
- Ensure compliance with all internal regulations and policies (quality, hygiene, safety, environment).
- Inform the direct supervisor of any anomalies encountered.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma (Bac+3 or equivalent) in a related field.
- Electrical certification (mandatory).
- Forklift or aerial lift certification (CACES or equivalent, depending on equipment used on site).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a trainer in the food processing industry.
- Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Familiarity with CMMS software (Dimo Maint is considered an asset).
- Must successfully complete competency tests in Excel and PowerPoint (required for hiring).
- Any relevant certifications or diplomas should be listed according to the position’s needs.
